Better shadow shapes. Tree trunk has a repeating pattern (bad). Sharon suggested I block shadow shapes in with purple, so I did. Next time I will try magenta.

I varnished it which may have brought out some hidden values in the darks. Or it could be that the image shrinks on the blog and ads some depth. Or it could be the scanner brightened it up. I never know what to expect when I scan and post on the computer! In this case it was enhanced.
